Paradise Chat Terms of Use
DRAFT — NEEDS A LAWYER'S REVIEW BEFORE PUBLICATION
Effective date: July 29, 2026
Operator: [LEGAL ENTITY]
Contact address: [CONTACT ADDRESS]
Jurisdiction: [JURISDICTION]
These Terms govern access to and use of Paradise Chat. “Operator” means [LEGAL ENTITY]. “Workspace” means the private community configured by its administrators. By creating or using an account, you agree to these Terms and the Community Guidelines.
1. Eligibility and account access
Paradise Chat is only for people aged 18 or older. You provide your date of birth once during sign-up. You cannot change it yourself after submission.
You sign in with Google or Apple. Paradise Chat does not issue a password. Apple private-relay email addresses are supported. You are responsible for keeping access to your Google or Apple account secure and for activity performed through your Paradise Chat account.
2. How communication works
Paradise Chat is admin-led:
- Members cannot message other members directly.
- There is no member contact list, user search, friend request, or member-created group.
- Administrators assign the official accounts a member can message.
- Administrators create groups and decide how membership works.
Some groups add every new member automatically and cannot be left. Some are admin-managed and may be left. Invite-link groups require an administrator to approve each request.
An official account may be answered by assigned staff. A staff reply shows the staff member's name and role so members know who is speaking, while the official account remains the address the member messages.
3. Acceptable use
You must not use Paradise Chat to:
- threaten, harass, abuse, exploit, or impersonate another person;
- publish unlawful, hateful, sexually exploitative, or deliberately deceptive material;
- expose another person's private information without permission;
- distribute malware, spam, scams, or content that infringes intellectual property or other rights;
- evade a suspension, group ban, media restriction, or other safety control; or
- interfere with the service, accounts, moderation, or security.
The Community Guidelines form part of these Terms and explain the enforcement ladder.
4. Content and moderation
You remain responsible for content you submit. You grant the Operator the limited rights needed to store, transmit, display, moderate, back up, and delete that content to operate Paradise Chat.
Members can report content and accounts. Moderators may delete any message in a group they moderate, ban a member from that group, and pin a message. Administrators have broader workspace controls. A deleted message remains visibly marked as “Removed by a moderator” rather than disappearing without a trace.
Moderation decisions may consider context, severity, repetition, and risk. The Operator may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, service integrity, or an investigation. A suspended member may still contact Support through the designated Support channel.
5. Media and storage
The workspace administrator configures which media types members may send, per-type size and duration limits, photo batch limits, and a retention window. Message attachments are stored on the Operator's own server. The upload endpoint stops accepting bytes when a file exceeds an active limit. Eligible images may be recompressed in their original format when the administrator enables that setting and recompression makes the file smaller. Attachment bytes older than the configured retention period are deleted automatically; that attachment-retention rule does not remove profile, official-account, or group avatars.
6. Service changes and availability
The Operator may maintain, update, or change Paradise Chat. Maintenance mode or a required app update may temporarily block access. The Operator does not promise that the service will always be available or error-free.
7. Account deletion
You can request deletion in the app or through the public account-deletion URL. There is a seven-day grace window; signing in during that period cancels the request. If it is not cancelled, the profile, messages, media, memberships, sessions, push tokens, and settings are deleted within 30 days.
Reports and audit records are retained for 12 months for safety, accountability, and dispute handling. The member's name is replaced with “deleted member” or detached from the record. Anonymous aggregate usage counts may remain.
8. Termination
You may stop using Paradise Chat at any time. The Operator may suspend or terminate access for a material or repeated breach, a serious safety risk, legal requirements, or misuse of the service. Provisions that by their nature must survive termination continue to apply, including responsibility for prior conduct and permitted record retention.
9. Disclaimers and liability
This section must be completed by counsel for [LEGAL ENTITY] in a form valid in [JURISDICTION], including any mandatory consumer protections, warranties, liability limits, and dispute-resolution terms.
10. Contact
Questions, complaints, and legal notices may be sent to [CONTACT ADDRESS].
